Before he became a force on the line, Makai got his start playing flag football in a competitive statewide league. One of his most memorable moments was competing for the championship at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. Though they narrowly missed the title, the experience was priceless and sparked his passion for the game.
