Meet Makai Edwards

Born on December 15, 2010, Makai Edwards is a rising football talent making waves in Houston, Texas. At the age of 13, Makai stands at 6’3″ and weighs in at 276 lbs getting after it with a 5.1 40 yrs dash and will flat out lay the hammer! Makai has built an impressive foundation as an offensive and a defensive lineman, beginning his football journey in a competitive statewide league under the TYFA Brand with flag football. His first year he helped to lead his team and although they fell just short of the championship title in a game held at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. The fire was lit! From there, his village under the guidance of his mother was reared under great mentorship over the years.

Makai’s experience goes beyond local fields. He has competed for various national contender select, AAU, and travel teams, playing in games from coast to coast. Having just completed his final middle school season with a commanding 30-2 victory over Missouri City Junior High, Makai is already attracting attention from top 5A, 6A, and private high schools across Texas. His drive, skill, and dedication make him one of the most exciting young athletes to watch in the class of 2029.
